MiPOesias Cafe Cafe Edition
Posted in poetic on Feb 16th, 2008
The MiPOesias Cafe Cafe Edition is now online. It features poetry submitted via Facebook posts to Didi Menendez, publisher of MiPOesias Magazine and OCHO, among other offerings of Menendez Publishing. Check out my poems, “Mabel and Laureen” and “Notes to Man, to Fish” there.
Certainly the most efficient submissions-call-to-publication process I’ve ever been involved with. Didi posted the call on the MiPO Facebook group sometime in the A.M. on Friday the 15th, submissions to close that day, and publication (the website) to go live by Sunday the 17th (though it is online today, the 16th), with “cover art” being the Facebook profile photos of the contributors.
With vehicles like these, it seems the face (no pun intended) of what constitutes publication, readership and getting your work out there is moving on, in many ways, from traditional bound and printed matter. But I do love bound and printed matter.
