Just finished reading the 48-page chapbook of poetry from independent press CAKETRAIN [a journal and press]: Dolls by Tom Whalen, winner of the 2006 Caketrain Chapbook Contest. It’s an expertly themed chapbook of 30 prose poems about (of course) dolls–the sexualized, stained, empty, thinking kind–and their owners. A spooky read. Available [...]
